Winning the hearts of Canadians!
Canada is proud of our team, #2 in the MLB league by only a few inches! Our American League Champions played with big hearts, that's how close they came to winning the 2025 World Series! With magic in the air throughout the playoffs, they believed, and the country believed as we cheered them at every play!
After the dust has settled from the outcome of game 7, the heartache is a little easier to bare, and it will get easier in time for the team, life goes on and things like family and health help to put that into perspective. Outcome is unpredictable, any competitive team sports player will understand when you want to be #1.
Being #1 is much more fun then ending up second when you play your hearts out for a higher level, and being in a family who's played our hearts out in enough sports competitions, knows how it feels both ways.
To Canada, the Blue Jays were #1 and still are. This will go down in history as one of the most fought out and talked about World Series with a Team that Canada was beyond proud of, with all their fans support, the comradery, posts on social media and countless stories by the media and fans!
When that final pitch was thrown in the 11th inning, we felt like our fairytale ending was taken from us because we believed it could be their turn once again to be World Champions after 32 years.
Their magic brought together a Nation, with even more pride and unity then Canada is already proud to have, as we watched professional baseball at it's ultimate best, amazed at their performance, and the battle between the top two teams of the MLB league giving everything they had!
Even though we didn't get our perfect storybook ending for our Blue Jays and Canada, these playoff series will be talked about for generations to come. How they became our heroes, how they inspired the younger generation and all of us to believe in our dreams no matter what, and believe they can come true!
To remember to play with hearts of gold, with passion, good sportsmanship, do what you love, be grateful for the experience, do your best in every moment, enjoy those moments because they're precious, especially when you have the chance to, because it's special when you get that opportunity.
We're SO proud of these guys, for the history they did write, the magic we experienced that made it even more special to be Canadian and the reason they became The Peoples Champions.
