A beloved World Champion, inspiration, trailblazer, team-mate, broadcaster, Wife, Mom and Grandma.
After more than four decades of curling dedication, ask anyone who loves curling 🥌 has played or watched the sport for years and everyone will know “Colleen Jones”.
She became a household name around the world in the sport we all love, a true legend, an inspiration for all ages, as we watched her play with her teams, broadcast for CBC, and also coached her son at this years Brier.
The tributes and outpouring of love happening today are an indication of her impact through the years and how much she was loved and appreciated.
It is with absolute heartfelt sorrow that we have to say goodbye to her, already. At the age of 65 years, she’s gone way too soon. We’re beyond grateful for her kindness, dedication and heart she gave us in our curling world, and will forever remember the countless memories and victories she had in her lifetime and the continued dedication with broadcasting for CBC.
When you have a chance, look back on some of her most memorable moments in history. There are many.
With much love and gratitude and sympathy to her husband Scott, her sons Zach & Luke, her grandson, family, team-mates, and her dear friends, may they be comforted knowing how much love and heart she left in this world, how Colleen will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to know her, play with or against her, and all the people around the world that cheered for her team, loved her on and off the ice, and became a lasting fan. 💔💗❤️
